Romeo and Juliet - Wednesday 13th May
60 Pleasance, EH8 9TJ, Edinburgh
Drama Society's production of Shakespeare's star-crossed tragedy.
Then I deny you, stars!
Shakespeare's greatest tragedy heaps up the brightest joy and darkest grief. Adapted by Drama Society into a rich, romantic Medieval world, the people of Verona laugh, fight, love, wonder, hope - and die. This has always been written in the stars...

Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable moment during the performance at the discretion of the Front of House and Producing Teams.
Tickets will only be refunded where a lack of/incorrect communication on the part of Drama Society means that ticket-holders were unaware of when/where the performance was taking place.
We assume you know the story of Romeo and Juliet, and we do not expect our production to be upsetting in any way outside what should be expected for a tragedy, but in case you want to check, the following content warnings apply:
- Suicide (no blood or gore)
- Violent death/murder (swordfighting, no blood or gore)
- Death of a loved one (friends and family members)
The whole text is freely available online at links such as Folger Shakespeare Library or Project Gutenberg if you would like to have a read through and see if it will affect you!
