Get ready for an exciting week of auditions as we build our 2025 Competition Teams! This is your chance to be part of something special—teams that represent our University at competitions every Saturday in February. Please make sure to keep all Saturdays in February completely free, as attendance is mandatory for all competition team members.

A full week of auditions in a variety of dance styles including:
Tap
Ballet
Lyrical
Contemporary
Jazz
Hip Hop
Highland
Each style will be held at different times and studios—keep a close eye on our socials for the full schedule!
🎭 Important Notes:
Auditions are required for all dancers wishing to join a competition team.
If you're not looking to compete, don’t worry—we offer recreational classes that do not require auditions and are open to all skill levels.
Make sure to come prepared, dress appropriately for each style, and bring water and a great attitude!

Competition Team Audition Policy
Participation in our competition teams is a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and responsibility. Please review the following policy carefully before attending audition week.
1. Audition Eligibility
• All dancers wishing to join a competition team must audition.
• Auditions are open to all age-appropriate students; placement is based on skill, attitude, performance, and potential.
2. Attendance
• Dancers must attend the full audition for each style they wish to be considered for.
• Competition dates (every Saturday in February) are mandatory. By auditioning, you are committing to being available for all scheduled competition dates.
3. Audition Schedule & Updates
• The audition schedule, including times and studio locations for each style, will be posted on our social media and studio notice boards.
• It is the responsibility of each dancer to stay informed of any schedule changes or updates.
4. Dress Code & Preparation
• Dancers must wear appropriate attire for each style (e.g., ballet shoes for ballet, sneakers for hip hop, etc.).
• Hair should be neat and out of the face.
• Bring water, a positive attitude, and be ready to try your best in every class!
5. Team Placement
• Final team placements are at the sole discretion of the captains and are based on technique, work ethic, attitude, and team needs.
• Auditioning does not guarantee placement on a competition team.
• Placements are final and not open to negotiation however we can give feedback if asked.
6. Recreational Classes
• Recreational classes are open to all dancers and do not require an audition.
• If a dancer is not selected for a competition team, they are encouraged to continue training in recreational classes and audition again in the future.
7. Code of Conduct
• Dancers are expected to maintain a positive, respectful attitude throughout the audition process.
• Disrespectful behavior towards instructors, peers, or studio staff will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification from team consideration.
By participating in auditions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with the above policies.
